Formaldehyde Emission Standards:
Formaldehyde is an important ingredient in the adhesive used to bond plywood products. Formaldehyde occurs naturally in the environment and is emitted by processes such as combustion and decay in various types of wood. Formaldehyde is a colourless pungent gas which the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) a division of the World Health Organization has classified as a carcinogen. However, this cancer-causing property of formaldehyde is only evident at very high concentrations, hundreds of times greater than levels emitted from plywood products.
At VITA Trading, we care for the well-being of our clients and follow these standards to ensure that our plywood products are within formaldehyde emission limits based on its application.
Our products fulfill these ratings:
European EN 120: E0, E1, E2,
Japan JIS A1460: F 2stars, F 3stars, F 4stars
USA ASTM: E1333 CARB P-2 ASTM
Types of Glue: WBP, Type 1 MUF, Type 2 UF
